Knitterfelsen® – Realistic Rock Structures in No Time
Creating realistic rock scenery has never been easier! Forget heavy plaster, time-consuming sculpting or complicated painting. With our innovative Knitterfelsen®, you can create amazingly realistic mountain landscapes, steep slopes and rock faces for your model railway, diorama or tabletop scenery in next to no time.
The secret is in the material: The rock textures are printed in high resolution with a matt finish on a special, highly durable paper. Simply crumpling and shaping the paper creates a three-dimensional rock surface with natural-looking structures, highlights and shadows.
It's that easy
- Cut: Roughly cut out the desired rock section with an irregular edge. Smaller pieces are easier to shape and adapt to your landscape.
- Fine crumpling: Hold the paper with both hands and press it together with your fingers from different directions. This creates the first fine folds and rock structures.
- Crumple: Next, firmly compress the entire piece into a small ball. Repeat steps 2 and 3 several times if required – this creates a finer structure and makes the paper even easier to shape.
- Unfold & install: Carefully unfold the paper, shape it to fit the prepared terrain and glue it into position.
