These wagons were created as part of the standardization of the DRG wagon fleet. In the wagon factories in Bautzen and Werdau, 33 such vehicles were built in 1929/1930 for the saxonian narrow-gauge railways. The carriages were delivered as 2nd class carriages with 2 compartments, recognizable by the 7 side windows.
