These wagons were created as part of the standardization of the DRG wagon fleet. In the Bautzen Wagon Factory, 34 such vehicles were built between 1930 and 1932 for the Saxonia narrow-gauge railways. The carriages were delivered as 3rd class carriages, recognizable by the 8 side windows.
